What is my department like?  

Clever Advertising's Finance department is a team of young, fast paced individuals, with a slight obsession with numbers. Spread across Portugal and Malta they run the backbone of all financial operations of the group.

What is my role like? 

As a Financial Reporting & Analysis Analyst, you’ll own the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely financial statements and insightful management reports. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the organisation to translate complex data into clear analyses, highlighting trends, variances, and drivers of performance.

• What will my daily tasks involve?
  Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Build, maintain, and enhance Excel-based financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Analyse actual results versus budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances and their underlying causes.
• Produce management reports and dashboards, delivering clear narratives around financial performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Commercial, HR, IT) to gather data, validate assumptions, and align on drivers.
  
• Support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts, coordinating inputs and ensuring consistency.
  
• Assist in the development of ad-hoc analyses and presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.
  
• Continuously evaluate and improve reporting processes and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy
  
  

What is expected from me?

• 3+ years experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel techniques and modelling.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles (SNC and IFRS) and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and articulate insights clearly.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and timely delivery.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
